Salisbury Transport Plan

The aim of the Salisbury Transport Plan is to improve conditions for all road-users and pedestrians in and around Salisbury.

The plan includes major initiatives to:

  • reduce congestion
  • improve journeys for commuters and visitors
  • encourage greater use of public transport
  • reduce vehicle-related pollution

The initiatives will bring benefits to those who travel into or around Salisbury by car, bus, bicycle, or on foot or in a wheelchair.

The principal elements of the Salisbury Transport Plan are:

  • Provision of five Park and Ride sites
  • Improvements to public transport
  • City centre traffic management measures
  • Construction of the Wylye Valley Relief Road
  • Construction of the Harnham Relief Road
  • Construction of the Brunel Link Road

The Salisbury Transport Plan is backed by £20 million of government funding.
