Maltings / Central (South) car parks

Description

Two adjoining short stay car parks, one surface (Central), the other (Maltings) having two levels. They are located close to the city centre, the City Hall, Salisbury Playhouse, and the Maltings Shopping Precinct. Salisbury Shopmobility Scheme is located within the Maltings Car Park.

Open 24 hours. Central South - 391 spaces for cars. The Maltings - 383 spaces on ground floor, 2 free motor cycle; 231 spaces on upper floor. Note: A height restriction of 1.9 metres applies to both floors of the Maltings.

Tariff

In the Maltings, the maximum stay is 5 hours. However, you can purchase an all day ticket for the Central (south) car park.

Pay and Display machines are located at convenient points within both car parks. (Note - these payment machines DO NOT give change. They accept 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2 coins.)

Charges apply Monday-Saturday between the hours of 8am and 6pm, including all bank holidays. Unexpired time in a Pay and Display car park may be used in another car park where the same tariff and time limits apply.

There is a flat rate £2 charge for parking 10am-4pm on Sundays.

Note that you can also pay for your parking in this car park by using your mobile phone and a credit or debit card.

Overnight parking

To assist drivers parking overnight, ticket machines will vend tickets valid for the next morning if purchased after 6pm.

Blue badge holders

Blue badge holders may park free of charge in all Pay and Display car parks and on-street. The blue badge, together with the time clock, must be properly displayed and drivers must comply with all parking regulations. (Maltings maximum stay 5 hours. Central South all day.)

Security

Both car parks are monitored by 24 hour CCTV. During payment hours regular patrols are made by the civil enforcement officers.

Public toilets are located on the east side of the Central car park.
