Bulky household waste - list of items

We will collect the type of items that you would take with you if you moved house:

• Furniture
• White goods – fridges, freezers, washing machines and cookers
• Carpets
• Electrical goods – TV's, HiFi's, etc.
• Children's toys (garden slides / climbing frames must be dismantled)
• Bicycles
• Garden Furniture (swing chairs must be dismantled)

We will also take some items from DIY activity:

• Kitchen units
• Sink / drainer units
• Work surfaces – max length 2m
• Bathroom suites
• Cloakroom suites
• Radiators
• Storage heaters – with bricks removed
• Doors – standard size (approx 2.0m x 0.9m)
• Garage doors
• Fencing panels
• Water butts

We will not take:

• Items weighing more than 50kg
• Liquid waste
• Hazardous waste such as asbestos or bonded asbestos sheets
• Soil or rubble
• Garden waste
• Central heating boilers
• Central heating oil tanks
• Car parts
• Tyres

If requests are received for items not on these lists we can send a supervisor to check the items for collection and provide an estimate of collection costs if necessary, such as a dismantled shed.
