Missed bin collection

About this service

The council provides a weekly refuse collection service for household waste from all domestic premises in the district. This service expands as new housing developments take place.

Refuse collections are made from the curtilage of properties situated on private roads in rural areas where there is suitable access for a refuse collection vehicle.

Collections are also made from the back door for householders outside of the city who are incapacitated or infirm. Refuse should be placed ready for collection by 7am on the scheduled collection day, but no earlier than the night before. The council's contractors will endeavour to respond within 24 hours.
