Forward planning
Forward planning is mainly concerned with producing the Local Development Framework, a planning policy framework to guide development in the Salisbury District Council area, and which will replace the Local Plan. We are currently developing the Core Strategy and are carrying out a major consultation exercise on the Core Strategy Preferred Options.
Other services include the preparation of supplementary planning guidance such as development briefs and guidance on sustainable development, providing planning policy advice, and supporting community-based planning initiatives such as parish plans.
