A Local Validation List for Wiltshire

The government is introducing a standardised set of national planning application forms, known as 1APP. All applications submitted on or after 6 April 2008 will need to use the 1APP forms. View the 1APP forms.

As part of 1APP, the government has defined national requirements for the information required to be submitted in support of a planning application. These national requirements are to be supplemented by mandatory local requirements, which will be decided on by individual Local Planning Authorities. The intention is to have one set of local requirements for all of Wiltshire, but Salisbury District Council is going out to consultation now to be ready for 6 April 2008 when the forms become compulsory.

In order to make a response to this consultation you will need to look at the Adobe PDFCurrent national requirements 45kb and local requirements which are in the form of checklists.

The proposed national requirements table identifies whether the requirement is:

  • Mandatory (will always be required for that particular application type) or
  • Optional (will be required if a certain set of criteria is met) or
  • Not required.

The proposed national and local requirements can be seen on individual checklists relating to each application type. You will need to view these before you fill in the response form.

Each checklist identifies the national requirements for each application type, as set by government, and any 'local' requirements drawn from the national list of local requirements. The checklist will identify when the document is required, and describe what form, purpose and content the document should contain.

If the representation is a more general comment on the overall requirements, please select "General comment' into the box.
