Article 4 directions
Under Article 4 of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 1995 the Secretary of State or Local Planning Authority may, if expedient, give a Direction that ‘permitted development rights’ should not apply to specified classes of development, and that development shall not be carried out unless permission is granted for it following submission of a planning application application.
