Recycling and waste
The council is committed to diverting waste from landfill disposal by a policy of reduction, re-use and recycling. We provide regular refuse collections and recycling facilities and support initiatives such as composting. Other services for residents include assisted collections to help those who cannot put their waste out for recycling, and collection of bulky household items. We also provide collections of trade refuse and paper and cardboard from local businesses.
