The three Tourist Information Centres (TICs) in South Wiltshire are members of a national network of TICs whose service to visitors attracts praise from all over the world, thus helping to make Great Britain more attractive to potential visitors.
With the two major international visitor attractions of Salisbury Cathedral and Stonehenge along with a large number of other popular attractions, the TICs in Salisbury and at Amesbury Information Point and Mere Information Point have a key role to play in helping visitors and local people make the most of their visits and leisure trips in South Wiltshire and thereby helping to stimulate the local economy.
All three centres offer assistance with both local and national tourist enquiries and services, including the stocking of a wide range of holiday brochures from all over Great Britain. Liaising with other partners in the tourism industry: i.e. VisitBritain, Southwest Tourism, Salisbury Tourism Partnership, Wiltshire Tourism, English Heritage, National Trust and the local town councils enhances the service offered.
