Salisbury walking forum

Salisbury Walking Forum aims to provide a service dealing with all issues that surround walking in Salisbury District, ranging from walking for health, to footpath clearance, wheelchair access and highway issues. The Community Initiatives Unit sits on the forum as the link with the walking for health schemes that are run across the District.

The Walking for Health Schemes, run in partnership with Wiltshire Health Promotions Service, are aimed at encouraging sedentary people to take up a more healthy, active lifestyle. It has been medically proven that walking is one of the best and most accessible forms of exercise which, undertaken regularly, can have an extremely beneficial effect on an individuals health.
