Five Rivers has an extensive range of equipment and classes to enable you to improve and maintain your fitness.

Fitness classes

Five Rivers offers a wide variety of fitness classes from gentle, easy-paced exercise to intensive workouts. So you can choose the type of exercise that best suits your fitness needs:

20/20/20

Total body workout for all levels consisting of 20 minutes HI-LO aerobics, 20 minutes step and 20 minutes toning. This class is designed to tone muscles and strengthen your cardiovascular system.

Aerobics/Aerotone

A challenging cardiovascular workout to music, incorporating high and low impact moves at varying levels of intensity.

Body Balance

Body Balance is a liberating new yoga based stretch programme that leaves you feeling relaxed and renewed.

Body Combat

Combines moves and stances developed from a range of self-defence disciplines including Karate, Kick Boxing, Tai Chi and Tae Kwando. An adrenaline-pumping non-contact athletic workout to get you 'fighting fit'.

Body Pump

Brings the resistance equipment into the studio. A non-impact workout to music using barbells and adjustable weights in a variety of resistance exercises to target all major muscle groups. Emphasis will be placed on correct technique with high repetitions and light to moderate weight.

Circuits

No fancy footwork, just a combination of cardio favourites and resistance exercises designed to get you fit all over.

Cycle/Rpm

High intensity cardiovascular exercise, cycling to music. Ride the calorie killer!

Fitball/Abs

These classes focus on your core area using abdominal and back muscles with upper and lower body exercises.

Junior classes

Try anything from gym circuits to pop dance. There's something for all age groups.

Legs, bums & tums (lbt)

Exactly what it says! Aimed at all levels, this is one of our most popular classes.

Pilates/Pilates technique

This class will not only relax you but boost your energy levels and give you a firm and supple body.

Step/Aerostep

A high intensity, low impact workout, stepping on and off an adjustable height platform. The class is designed to strengthen the cardiovascular system, burn fat and tone muscles.

Streetdance

Learn to dance like they do in your favourite music videos. All abilities are welcome.

Synergy

A mind/body class which combines yoga and Pilates. This class will improve flexibility, balance and core strength.
