Are you pregnant? Or have you recently become a new mum? If so, come along and join in a fun and effective workout in the water.
This class is a combined class of antenatal and postnatal. It will begin with a sequence of gentle warm-up exercises, followed by some upper bodywork using woggles and finishing off with some relaxation and stretching.
Where: Five Rivers swimming pool
When: Tuesday mornings 10.30-11.15am in term time; 9.30-10.15am during school holidays
This 45 minute session will revitalise you and improve your muscular balance and strength. Exercising in water is safe and enjoyable during pregnancy - and it’s great for late pregnancy backache. The water supports your whole body and you can be as energetic or relaxed as you want.
Exercise boosts your immune system and provides the circulation and energy levels needed to help you enjoy your newborn baby. It will help you regain your pre-pregnancy body and posture and improve your upper body strength. The class can be a great way to meet other new mums in the area.
