How does my child start lessons?

Child a non-swimmer? Then come to the centre between the booking dates and reception will guide you through the booking procedure.

Child is able to swim even a very small distance then to ensure they are allocated the correct class they will need to be assessed.

Assessment times are shown on the centres timetable, there is no charge for assessments, a swimming Instructor will assess your child and inform you which class to book your child into.

You will be asked to fill in a booking slip and pay £1, which is deducted from your course fee when booking. This does not guarantee you a place in a lesson, but helps the centre to forecast demands on particular lessons and where possible to ensure sufficient spaces are available.

How long does the lesson last?

The lesson lasts for 30 minutes, however the advanced classes can last for longer periods of 45 or 60 minutes.
