The annual Salisbury City of Flowers and Civic Pride campaign is a joint initiative between the Parks Section and the Salisbury Chamber of Commerce with the primary aim of enhancing the City florally for residents and visitors alike. The campaign has also seen the launch of Salisbury's very own Gilbert the Dragon, found each year in the High Street!! Now in his fifth year, he is proving as popular as ever and is a huge hit with tourists looking for photo opportunities.
The City of Flowers campaign can provide businesses with superb hanging baskets, window troughs and barrier planters, as well as providing a watering service to ensure the displays are kept in tip-top condition throughout the Summer period. A single payment covers all!
The campaign not only deals with enhancing the City florally but also a raft of other issues including graffiti and street cleanliness, conservation areas, school projects, awareness campaigns, sustainability issues and innovative ideas for future projects amongst other things.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available for companies wishing to raise their profile locally by having advertising on local flower beds and/or roundabouts. Prices for sponsorship start as low as £150 each year.
