Camping and caravanning

The Salisbury Caravan and Camping site is situated on a large open space on the fringes of the city centre and under the shadow of the historic hill fort of Old Sarum and site of the original Cathedral. The site also offers magnificent views across the Woodford Valley and yet is only a mile or so from the city centre itself.

The site at Hudson's Field off Castle Road, Salisbury offers superb, clean, modern and secure facilities for visitors to the city and district.

A warden lives permanently on the site to ensure that all runs smoothly. He operates from a small office on site taking and managing bookings and providing emergency provisions. He also carries a wide array of brochures and leaflets for attractions in the area. He can be contacted on telephone 01722 320713.

The site is open from mid March to the end of October each year (the exact dates alter each year) and has both excellent links to public footpaths and cycleways as well as bus routes.

Whether your stay is just overnight or as a base from which to tour the city and surrounding area, we feel sure the facilities on offer at Hudson's Field can only enhance the enjoyment of your visit.

The site is managed day to day by the Camping and Caravanning club of Great Britain on behalf of Salisbury District Council. The site is open to all-comers, not just members of the club.
