We Will Remember Them’ Concert
The Wiltshire Royal British Legion is holding a ‘We Will Remember Them’ concert in Salisbury City Hall on Sunday November 2nd at 5.00pm that will include music, community singing, Tales from the Trenches, displays, dancing and a Short service of Remembrance. Compered by Rosemary Squires, whose career began when, as a schoolgirl, she sang for soldiers stationed in Wiltshire before they went off to France, the nationally famous South West Trains Woodfalls Band will provide the music supported by local military pipers and buglers. The concert is to pay homage to 100 years of the Territorial Army and the 90th Anniversary of the signing of the armistice that ended the First World War. The concert is a part of the Royal British Legions annual Poppy Appeal and is a great way to have fun and raise funds for ex-servicemen and women who are in need of help. Tickets priced £8 for adults and £3 for children are available from Salisbury City Hall on 01722 434434
