If you apply to the Housing Advice Team as homeless, we will carry out a Housing Options assessment interview to decide how we can help you.
Please remember, even if you think you are homeless or threatened with homelessness, we might not have a legal duty to find you a home. Even if we agree that we have a duty towards you, we might not be able to give you the type of home you would like.
However, whether or not we accept that you are homeless or if we have a legal duty towards you, under our Housing Options Scheme everyone who approaches us with a housing problem will receive help on the options available to them and we will do all we can to try to help you find a home.
You can make an appointment to see a Housing Options Officer using the contact details below or in person at 26 Endless Street, Salisbury. Emergency appointments are in the afternoon (for example, if you are homeless today).
You will need to have an interview with one of our Housing Options Advisors.
You will also need to complete an application form providing details of your circumstances.
During this process, you will need to meet certain criteria in order for your application to be accepted and for you to be considered for alternative accommodation.
