Aircraft noise

We cannot take legal action concerning aircraft noise as it is exempt from the legislation we enforce, but we do keep a log of complaints and, where possible, we follow these up by contacting the airfield.

In order for us to log your complaint you will need to provide the following information:

  • Where the noise occurred, and
  • When the noise occurred

In addition, please give us as much information as possible regarding:

  • The type of aircraft (such as how many engines, colour)
  • Direction of flight
  • Whether the aircraft was flying high or low
  • Whether the pilot was carrying out any aerobatics (such as diving or doing loops).
