There are a number of schemes that offer grants or advice and practical help to improve the energy efficiency of your house:
Warm Front is a scheme run by the Eaga Group in which grants are available for the installation of loft and cavity wall insulation, draughtproofing, and gas or oil-fired central heating. Grants are up to a value of £2,700 and £4,000 when oil fired central heating is installed.
Grants are subject to funding availability, and limited to those in receipt of certain benefits. For further details visit the Eaga Group website or call 0800 316 2814.

If you are not eligible for a Warm Front grant, you may still benefit from home-efficiency schemes.
There are funds available that help to reduce the cost of work on energy-efficiency measures, such as fitting cavity wall and loft insulation.
The reductions are financed by the energy providers, as part of their commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. To benefit from these reductions you must use a contractor that is working with the energy provider.
