Save the environment. Our home energy use is a significant contributor to CO2 emissions, which causes global warming. This is the cause of flooding, droughts and many extreme weather events.
Many animal species are struggling to cope with the changing climate. Amongst these are the Polar bear, whose homeland is disappearing as the Polar ice cap's begin to melt, leading to rising sea levels.

Improve your comfort and health. Poor home energy-efficiency can cause low temperatures and the development of mould and damp. This can contribute to serious health ailments such as hypothermia or respiratory problems.

How can we help?
Salisbury District Council has already achieved significant improvements for tenants by upgrading the energy efficiency of the council's own housing.
We also offer advice and guidance to private home owners on home energy efficiency measures and grants.
Salisbury District Council is committed as an Energy Conservation Authority to work with the government towards a 30% improvement in home energy efficiency from 1996 – 2006.
In most homes, heating uses more energy than anything else, but it can escape through ceilings, walls, doors, floors and windows if your home is not well-insulated.

A free home energy advice survey is available to everyone. It is quick and easy to complete. In return, you will receive free feedback on how to improve your home efficiency.
