Rent a council garage
About this service
You can apply to rent a council garage whether you are living in a council property or not.
However, you must be applying for a garage that is:
- within one mile of your home
- intending only to use it for a car and not for storage
Council tenants get priority when a garage becomes available. If no council tenant is waiting, we will offer it to the person who has been waiting the longest.
Please note that if you are a council tenant, you will not normally be offered a garage if your rent account is in arrears.
