Street care services

Street care covers a wide range of services, from the litter picking and road sweeping you would normally expect, to cleaning rivers and waterways, removing graffiti, investigating fly posting and fly tipping offences.

Salisbury District Council is determined that a forward thinking approach be taken to the street care service. We are embarking upon an educational and awareness programme to ensure that everybody is fully aware of what they can do to ensure that our environment is managed and maintained comprehensively and sensitively. As such, we would welcome any imaginative ideas you may have with regard to reducing the litter/flyposting/fly tipping/graffiti problems either generally or in a particular area or location.

To assist us in our efforts Salisbury District Council has also recently joined the 'People & Places Partnership', which is run by the same people behind the 'Keep Britain Tidy' group. This gives us access to regular networking meetings with other local authorities, one to one advisor meetings with experts in their respective fields, as well as more general support. For more information on the 'People & Places Partnership' visit www.encams.org
