Land drainage
The maintenance of most watercourses is the responsibility of private owners (riparian owners) or of the local water supplier.
Salisbury District Council has no responsibility for the maintenance of watercourses and land drainage (except on council-owned land). However, we may be able to offer general advice.
Land drainage is a network of watercourses used to dispose of naturally occurring water (from rainfall or springs).
