The Planning Brief for the new Visitors Centre is concerned with when, where and how the replacement facilities will be secured. It defines rigorous planning criteria that any subsequent planning application will be assessed against. The Brief was adopted by Salisbury District Council as supplementary planning guidance to the adopted Local Plan and the criteria it sets out are therefore a material consideration that must be given due weight when considering the application for the new visitor centre.
