Overview and Scrutiny: Sustainable rural communities

What is the review about?

Salisbury District Council has undertaken a detailed review of rural issues in Wiltshire. The Sustainable Rural Communities Scrutiny Review Group, led by Councillor Catherine Spencer, has examined a range of social and economic issues, including local planning policies. The review published its final report on 4 April 2008, which contained 27 detailed recommendations for consideration by the district and county council, aiming to support vibrant and sustainable rural communities into the future.
