Amesbury Information Point offers a friendly, comprehensive information service for local residents, visitors and other customers of Salisbury District Council.

Amesbury Information Point also incorporates the Tourist Information Centre, providing a wide range of services for visitors and residents who want information on local or countrywide attractions.

Services for residents

Assistance and support with Salisbury District Council services, including:

  • housing and council tax benefit
  • housing repairs
  • special collections
  • Wisecard enquiries
  • Information on local transport – buses/trains/services
  • Sharing information with local community groups
  • Liaison with Amesbury Town Council in support of the local community
  • Local residents' passes to Stonehenge
  • Access to the internet for information purposes only (no public internet access)
  • Tickets to local events and excursions (see Tourist Information below)

Tourist information

  • Leaflets on attractions, events and accommodation
  • Ticket sales, including local events and Explorer Bus tickets
  • Holiday brochures and help with planning holidays in the UK
  • Local and 'Book-a-Bed-Ahead' Accommodation service
  • Help with planning travel itineraries
  • A range of goods, such as Visitor guides, postcards, stamps, brochures, books, souvenirs and seasonal items
