Salisbury District Council runs the VOICE&CHOICE online citizens' panel to give local people the opportunity to have their say on a whole range of topics. So far, 3,400 local residents have signed up to take part in regular email and web-based surveys.
The surveys examine a wide range of topical local issues - not just issues related to council services. They are short and sharp, varied and interesting. Panellists are also able to take part in a range of other events.
You can join the panel at any time, all we ask is that you either work or live in south Wiltshire. Email us to join up!
It's your voice and it's your choice - so why not choose to have your say by joining up to south Wiltshire's first ever online citizens' panel?
As a V&C Panellist you can expect to receive around 6-8 surveys each year. You do not have to take part in all or any of the surveys. If you do not take part in any surveys during the year we will remove your name from our list. You can rejoin at any time. To encourage participation in the surveys we have an annual draw. If you have taken part in over half of the surveys you will be entered into the draw automatically and you will be notified of the winners by email.
V&C aims to reflect the interests of panellists. To ensure that the surveys are of interest, we will consult on the topics to be considered and invite panellists to suggest subjects for future surveys. We will also invite comments on each of the surveys so that they can be improved in future. Periodically, we will invite panellists to attend workshops to discuss how V&C is managed. We will provide each member of the Panel with a copy of the results of each survey, whether they have taken part or not.
V&C will only be successful if the results of the surveys have a significant influence on decisions. To make sure this is the case, the results will be published, circulated widely and submitted for consideration by local councillors. The results will also be made available to the council's partners and other agencies - such as the Police, Hospital, College, Private and Voluntary organisations in the area. These partners will be encouraged to use V&C to undertake research and consultation on matters affecting the area.
All of the personal details submitted are held on the council's IT system and will be used by the members of the V&C team for the purpose of research only. Your personal details will be used for no other purpose. No comment or response will ever be attributed to an individual panellist. Panellists may opt-out of V&C at any time. Every email from the V&C Team will contain an opt-out option.
