About this service
The Valuation Tribunal Service is a free service provided to all council tax and business rate payers who wish to appeal, for example on the grounds that they shouldn't have to pay rates or council tax, that they are entitled to a discount or exemption that the council has refused, or for many other reasons related to decisions made by the council and valuation officers.
