South Wiltshire Area Grants (SWAG) are for the benefit of local people and projects
which are specific to a geographical area within Salisbury district. Please see the
Ward and Committee Area Boundaries Map 222kb
to identify which
area committee you should apply to.
You can apply for a major grant or minor grant under the SWAG scheme. A minor grant is for modest projects up to £500 and a major grant is for anything over £500 but not normally over £5,000, to help develop projects and initiatives based in Salisbury district.
An applicant applying for more should provide evidence in the form of a business plan and financial forecasts.
If you have applied for any of the following grants in the past you will now have to apply through the SWAG scheme:
Some grants have specific criteria so please read the information in the form carefully. Unless otherwise stated the funding guidelines in the form booklet are mandatory.
Grants will be determined in three tranches by the area committees each year. Applications will need to be completed and returned approximately two months prior to each of the meetings.Please contact us for exact deadline dates.

You will need to comply with the terms and conditions form sent out when a grant is awarded. If you receive a grant, it must only be used for the purpose set out in the application form and it cannot be given to any other group. We will not give grants to cover costs which have already been incurred and the grant cannot be increased. Your grant will be paid into the bank account detailed on the application form. If there are any changes in your position affecting your grant please contact your technical officer.
