Community safety

The Community Safety Service of Salisbury District Council is run from the Community Initiatives Unit.

The main focus of this work is delivered through the South Wiltshire Community Safety Partnership, with strong links to the South Wiltshire Strategic Alliance.

Under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998, Community Safety staff work in partnership with the Wiltshire Police, Wiltshire County Council and others to support the Community Safety Partnership and to implement the Community Safety Strategy, with the overall aim of reducing crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour within the District.
