Gambling Act 2005 - Statement of Licensing Policy

The Gambling Act 2005 introduced new procedures affecting the administration of gambling. The council is the licensing authority and be responsible for dealing with applications for Premises Licences, permits, Occasional Use Notices and Temporary Use Notices.

You can download the Statement of Gambling Licensing Policy 324kb which will be applied in the council's role as licensing authority. It can also be viewed at our offices at Pennyfarthing Street, Amesbury Information Point or Mere Information Point. This document was published on 22 December 2006 after wide consultation and came into effect on 31 January 2007.*

• To apply for a premises licence you will need to submit the relevant application forms and notices  (Department of Culture, Media and Sport).
