The forms are detailed and it is recommended that you contact either Gary Tomsett or Chris Portnall, for advice before attempting them. They can be contacted on 01722 434320/319 or by email at enhmail@salisbury.gov.uk

Application forms available on line:

For Part A2 installations:

Application forms available on request:

  • Application to surrender a Part A2 permit
  • Application to transfer a Part A2 permit
  • Application to vary a A2 permit conditions

These have not been made available on line as we do not currently have any A2 permitted installations and we do not want operators spending a great deal of their time filling in the wrong application.

DEFRA are currently consulting on very signifcant changes to requirements these processes have to meet. Before completing these applications and in particular before purchasing a small waste oil burner please visit the note page of the DEFRA website for the latest information or speak to an officer in Environmental Services.

Many of us are aware of the concerns about the depletion of the ozone layer and global warming. internationally this has resulted in agreements to cut the use of certain solvents. The use of some solvents is being phased out; in other cases their emission to the air is being controlled. Dry cleaners, including coin operated dry cleaning equipment, are now being required to apply for a permit. New dry cleaning operations must apply for a permit before opening. Existing dry cleaning operations must apply for a permit from October 2006. We will send you an application form closer to this time. More information can be found on the DEFRA website or by contacting Environmental Services.
